Great Places to Sample Local Flavours

The seaside town has a growing reputation as a seafood and aquaculture centre. Anglers come to Streaky Bay to catch the ‘big one’ and experience fishing at stunning locations around the coastline. The waters are abundant with King George Whiting, Blue Swimmer Crab, Snapper, Salmon, Flounder, Squid and other species caught from over 18 different locations in the region.

Can’t catch a fish? Cook yourself up the freshest of fish from the local fresh fish shop. Savour fresh daily-baked pies and pastries or fish ‘n’ chips while relaxing in the local bakery and roadhouses.  Over summer check out the locations of our pop up food vans serving fresh produce from the ocean to plate.

Sample the flavours of the land and sea and tantalise your taste buds at our funky cafés and hotel with succulent King George whiting, Streaky Bay oysters, or perhaps abalone accompanied by a sumptuous Eyre Peninsula wine.
