Printmaking residency journeys across South Australia

Connect, Create and Respond: Art and Cultural residency

Artists and community members in Streaky Bay, Ceduna, Port Augusta and Adelaide will benefit from a unique art opportunity in April and May 2017.

The creative exchange in Streaky Bay will bring together artists from two continents: Namibian born artist Petrus Jero Amuthenu (known as Jero); Yalata and Ceduna Aboriginal artists Warren Paul (known as eBay) and Sheree Jones and, ArtsUp community artists.

Collectively they will engage with each other, youth and community to explore Colonial and post-colonial aspects of Australian and Namibian identity and culture and; the biases, margins, challenges and opportunities facing regional artists.

In an artistic and creative collaboration in cardboard printmaking artists will be encouraged to journey together, connect and make inspired art through workshops, a floor talk, a cultural sharing forum and a broader community engagement.

Check out the schedule that offers something for everyone.
