Enjoy the markets festival atmosphere and experience culinary delights prepared by producers at the Eyre Peninsula Farmer & Fishermens Market. This annual food and wine event will take place at the breathtakingly beautiful Streaky Bay foreshore lawns on Sunday 19 April from 10am to 5pm.
Coordinator Kym Turvey says,
“The Committee and producers are thrilled to be at the foreshore lawn venue again this year. It has a great view and is close to the CBD. It will provide a very relaxed atmosphere right on the waterfront. Families and visitors are encouraged to spend the day eating and drinking the best of what the Eyre Peninsula has to offer while listening to live music by local musicians.”
Eyre Peninsula’s local produce is the feature of this sensory feast. Indulge in fresh Eyre Peninsula dishes prepared by chefs and producers including oysters natural and Kilpatrick, squid and chorizo skewers, prawn skewers, whiting burgers, prawn in a tub, crumbed garfish and flake kebabs. The market will spoil you for choice in 2015 with a selection of chilli, extra chilli and garlic metwursts, a Streaky Bay slider with Harissa spiced lamb, a local sausage sauerkraut roll with Eba Island dressing, ham hock and pea soup and, wild peach & custard puff pastry jaffle. Sip on local red and white wine. Enjoy a variety of coffees. Try the range of Mediterranean sweets, biscuits and pastries. Also available for tasting and purchase are wines, prawn dip, honey, jam, marmalade and chutneys.
