PRIMAL: EPHEMERAL ECO ART RESIDENCY
FINAL WORKSHOP FOR STREAKY BAY IN JANUARY 2019
Adelaide artists Kaspar Schmidt Mumm, Emmaline Zanelli and their team will deliver FREE ART WORKSHOPS from the NEW START DATE of Wednesday 9 to Sunday 13 January 2018 in Streaky Bay as part of the PRIMAL: Ephemeral Eco Art Residency.
All ages are invited to embark on an artistic and zany no holds barred costume-building spree using recycled cardboard and natural materials. Simultaneously the artists team will construct and decorate a large outdoor sculptural set for workshop participants to be photographed in—in their costumes! You will be surprised at all the interactive and creative possibilities as you help to create an evolving installation while; making your own zany costume and catching the all fun and quirky art on video with music!
The Primal: Ephemeral Eco art Residency has delivered 10 innovative and temporary art installations on the Streaky Bay foreshore since 1 December 2018.
27 artists from Finland, Australia and regional South Australia collaborated through an environmental and Eco art theme across 3 simultaneous Eco art projects. Artists creatively and artistically shared with youth and community across the FREE workshops, ephemeral installations and community engagement sessions to start an Eco-art conversation.
The January workshops and installation will bring the project to completion. Participation and audience numbers have been high and the project which has been well received by the community and visitors alike. All elements were FREE to the community.
