Streaky Bay and surrounds is known for its pristine coastline, great fishing and spectacular scenery and wildlife.
From a “foodies” perspective we are known for our quality and variety of local seafood – abalone, whiting, blue swimmer crabs, oysters and prawns to name a few, however not as well-known is our delicious local lamb, pork and honey; and we definitely can’t forget the extensive barley and wheat crops that are dotted across the landscape.
To showcase this outstanding local produce we would like to invite you to attend our inaugural food event ‘A Taste of Streaky Bay – Long Table Lunch on the Bay’ being held on Sunday 28th April 2019 at midday, on the Jetty Platform Streaky Bay.
A mix of all of this wonderful local produce is going to be turned into a ‘gastronomical’ delight, designed by Steven Clark, Head Chef of the award winning National Wine Centre. To match the four delicious courses James Boden, the Sommelier from the National Wine Centre will be choosing a selection of South Australian wines and even a local medal winning beer. We are very fortunate and excited to have such expert’s onsite, preparing and introducing this lunch to ensure our beautiful produce is shown-off as it deserves.
