DESCRIPTION:The Streaky Bay Tourism & Business Association Inc host this annual popular event on the iconic Streaky Bay jetty and the best part is its FREE ! There are cash prizes for the keen anglers that land the biggest of each species. \nAnglers are encouraged to register from 8:00am onward before getting down to the business of catching the big one. Participants can cast off from 9:00am and continue until the close of competition at 11:00am. Streaky Bay Tourism & Business Assoc\nInc encourages a catch and release policy for the event. \nA sausage sizzle and refreshments will be available from 10:00am\, along with a great raffle so bring along a $2 coin.  Killas\, Streaky Bay will sell bait onsite for a bargain rate so that anglers do not have to leave the competition site. \nThanks to our sponsors Killas & Shimano – for everything on and around the water. \nSA Health requirements and/or extreme weather may postpone or cancel Family Fish Day with 24 hours’ notice for:\n1. A catastrophic fire danger rating (which is confirmed the day before the applicable day) is issued or;\n2. The forecast day prior is for 38 degrees or above (on the ABC radio or television) and/or;\n3. There are severe or extreme weather conditions predicted for the day of the event or that interrupt the event. \nA postponement or cancellation announcement will be made via this website. \n
