New Years Eve Fireworks!

Children’s Festival & Fireworks

Streaky Bay comes alive on New years Eve with entertainment on offer for the entire family.

The Children’s Festival starts at 6pm on the foreshore lawns at Alfred Terrace offering  3 FREE bouncy castles and face painting by gold coin donation.

The popular DJ Lowana will entertain the crowd before the fireworks.

Visitors and locals can buy yummy food and refreshments provided by local community groups.

  • BBQ sausage sizzle by the Streaky Bay Scouts
  • Lamb Yiros & Fish Burgers by Shellz Seaside Snacks
  • King George Whiting and Chips, Salt & Pepper Squid, Calamari & Chips, Hot Chips by the FishFix van (Streaky Bay Marine Products)
  • Thips Thai food
  • Drinks & lollies and Glow sticks will be on offer by Streaky Bay Tourism and the YAC

Watch the fireworks display while listening to great music from 6-10 pm as families relax on the foreshore lawns with a picnic rug while the kids have fun.

At approximately 9.30 pm the Fireworks display goes off with a big bang.  The largest display in a regional area outside of a major city centre, the fireworks in Streaky Bay continues to impress locals and visitors at New Years Eve.

At midnight the fireworks will bring in the New Year for revellers celebrating the start of 2018.

The Streaky Bay CBD area is declared a Dry Area from 6pm, 31 December 2017 to 8am, 1 January 2018.
