Clothing and Shoes…Lowest prices, wider range, bigger choice!
Tanya Patterson opened her new shop ‘Orlante’ on October 8 2015, taking the name from her grandfather’s fishing boat, which has historical ties to the town of Streaky Bay.
Mrs Patterson has been involved in the clothing business for 13 years and originally operated Kidding Around in Streaky Bay.
The Orlante was a 48 foot long cutter bought by Leonardo Valente in 1930 and was operated by he and his brothers.
Valente was one of the first fishermen in the area and operated the boat up until 1940 when the boat was sold to Tom and Ray Johnson of Streaky Bay.
The boat was never again used fully following World War II, and was wrecked at the creek by the caravan park in 1947.
Orlante sells women’s and kids clothes, shoes as well as a limited amount of menswear.
