Whiting Bowls Carnival in Streaky Bay

On the first Sunday in May, the Streaky Bay Bowling Club holds it's Annual Bowls Whiting Carnival until the following Saturday. Mixed Bowls are played on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and Ladies Fours on Friday, Mens Fours on Saturday. Fish teas are served on Sunday and Saturday and a free barbecue on Thursday. The first Carnival was held in 1989.  The carnival has been a significant event on the Bowling Calendar since and brings many visitors to the region.

The District Council of Streaky Bay's Biggest Morning Tea has been held for approximately 18 years. The Council and community raise funds each year for the Cancer Council research.   Local businesses and community groups contribute food to the event while the District Council of Streaky Bay supports the event with funds, staff time and the use of the Supper Room.   Everyone is welcome to come along, have a cuppa and a chat while supporting a worthwhile cause to…
