The Shack at Baird Bay is located on the beachfront in peaceful Baird Bay, and a perfect escape from everyday life. The sheltered waters of Baird Bay and the beach are at the front gate, while native bush is at the back gate.
Next door is the award-winning Baird Bay Ocean Eco Experience where guests swim with wild dolphins and sea lions in the protected waters of Baird Bay. The Shack has three bedrooms / one bathroom, with plenty of outdoor area to sit and watch the sun set or the birdlife.
Baird Bay itself is a long, narrow bay which covers 3800 hectares. The entrance to the Southern Ocean is protected by Jones Island and limestone reefs, and the whole bay is surrounded by cliffs or hills, which reduces the wind. Spend the day bushwalking, beach walking, bird watching or recreational fishing – rock, beach, or boat, or sitting on the beach watching the changing tides. The property is ideal for a couple or a family, who want to escape to some peace and quiet.
